Today as an elite behaviour consultant and a highly sought after performance coach I am driven by my passion for supporting, nurturing and educating athletes, coaches and parents on how to perform smarter.

A former senior international British athlete, I have learnt quite a bit in my 30 plus years in the professional sporting world about passion, dedication and discipline. From day one I became totally immersed in the world of high level competition. I developed an obsession for pushing and exploring my physical and psychological boundaries - and gymnastics initially gave me that avenue.

I believe it was the nature of the sport, the quality of the coaching and the peer influences that developed a keen purpose, passion and discipline in me, the same qualities that helped shaped me into the dedicated and focused person I am today.

After retiring from competitive gymnastics, I was intent on developing and passing on what I had gained from my sport and my exceptional elite training, so it felt like a natural progression to then move into a coaching and teaching career, initially based in the UK, then the USA and now Australia, although I travel the world over consulting to athletes, coaches and sporting bodies.

From my experience working both within the private sport sector and the education system, I honed my emphasis on effective communication and understanding of human behaviour, believing this to be one of the keys to success. However I quickly established the standard models of communication and teaching were not enough for me and I guessed for a great many others - I knew there had to be a better way and I was determined to find it.

Now, with a much deeper practical knowledge, plus qualifications in Psychology, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic programming (NLP), hypnosis and behavioural science my hands on clinics and training programmes offer todays athlete and coach a much more targeted opportunity to excel in international competition.

After observing many technically knowledgeable coaches fail to get their athletes to achieve I noticed they were all missing specific key components - an effective communication model, the neurological training and development components and a willingness to move outside the 'traditional' and push boundaries.
Both the coach and athletes, were physically and technically prepared but neither were engaging their minds to make the most of their physiology and to maximise on the athletes natural talents and skill set.

So I began my research into the human brain, our neurology and our quirky behaviours, after studying many different disciplines of behavioural sciences, I quickly realised no one discipline held the magic key to sustainable performance, the key to behavioural understanding or it's modern day mastery.

However, by blending many different key components from psychology and behavioural philosophies I found I was successfully creating sustainable long-term performance results, increased learning capabilities in athletes, students and coaches and reducing fatigue based injuries.

I know first hand what it takes to overcome the odds and achieve - and its not just hard work or repetition - its a carefully constructed scientific approach:
So when you are ready to take your performance and career to a new height contact me and I will personally assess your programme, your coaching style, your sporting performance even your sporting organisation and together we will create a system that maximises on your effectiveness, your talents and potential.

Go to our contact page or call 1300 755 897 now and take the first important step forward to a better and sustainable sporting performance.

Also in early 2005, I wanted to help families and children benefit from my research, so I started working with children who had been exposed to trauma in their lives. My approach was different from my predecessors in that I have a philosophy of never putting an adult's logic into a child's mind - it just doesn't fit.

My success with these children was the catalyst that encouraged me to put pen to paper and write the ‘Enjoy the Ride' series of children's books. These books have gone on to become best sellers and part of many parents and professionals library of resources. These books are crafted to stimulate a child's imagination and their natural internal problem solving ability, allowing them to create their own solutions for now and the future.

This passion has taken me the world over, helping to guide children; teaching them how to best manage some of life's more challenging issues on their terms; and stimulating their imaginations through crafted programs and books to enable them to not only cope but to thrive.
